So I mentioned a couple of posts ago that Sam and I had maternity/couple pictures taken last weekend. Anne-Camille of Capturing Moments Photography in Mtn. Home did this session for us (check out her website at http://photosbyannecamille.typepad.com). I have a link to her website on my page to the right. We got about an hour of shooting in last Saturday morning and then it started pouring. Luckily, she had already snapped away 193 pictures (I think that's what she said!). Here is a sneak peek of a few of her favorite pictures. We bought the disk with all the pictures and I can't wait to get it in the mail and see all the rest of the pictures!!!! Thank you so much A-C for taking our pictures! I LOVE the way they turned out!!!! Baby Drew is growing, huh?!?

34-week doctor appointment
Today was our 34-week check-up.....nothing too exciting.....just checked weight, blood pressure, meausured my belly, and listened to Drew's heartbeat. Weight was okay....although the dr. thinks I'm beginning to retain fluid. Blood pressure wasn't so good....158/85 on my initial reading. They made me lay down on my side to see if it would go down and within 10 minutes it was down to 120/58....my blood pressure is definitely easily influenced by stress, hurrying, and worrying. My belly meausured amost perfect. I feel like my belly has grown a ton in just the past two weeks! Drew's heartbeat was 144 today! Due to my high blood pressure reading, they want me to start my weekly appointments next week....so I will be going weekly to the dr. from 35-weeks on out until Drew arrives! We are definitely on the countdown now! 5 and a half weeks or less! We are getting more excited by the minute!

MH Baby Shower
I had a wonderful baby shower today in Mtn. Home!!! We got SO many great things for Drew! The shower was held at my church and hosted by Whitney Balentine, Mary Margaret Pearson, Terre Ware, and Terri and Katie Goates. I got to see so many family friends who I don't get to see often enough! Both of my grandmas were in attendance, so that made the day even more special! Here are some pics of the shower below!
This morning Sam and I had maternity pictures taken (courtesty of Anne-Camille). We got about an hour of shooting in and then it started POURING down rain. We are going to finish up a few shots later sometime this weekend. I can't wait to see how they all turn out!!!!!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend! We are definitely enjoying ours w/ family!!!

We had a 3-D ultrasound done when I was 28-weeks pregnant. Sorry for the delay in posting! Seeing little Drew again just melted our heart and made us even more excited for his arrival. We think he is just going to be the sweetest, cuddly, precious little boy! What do you think???????
All curled up!

32-week doctor appointment
I am going to post some pictures soon…..I PROMISE!
We went to the doctor for my 32-week appointment last week and everything is still looking good! Here were the highlights:
-Drew’s heartbeat was 152 beats per minute
-My tummy measured a little less than 32-inches/weeks (which I was excited about b/c hopefully that means I won’t have a 10-pound baby!)
-Weight gain – wasn’t bad this time, which was a relief!
-Blood pressure was still a little high, but lower than last time and the nurse didn’t have to highlight it in my file, which was GREAT
We go back to the doctor next Thursday; I am going every 2 weeks now until I hit 36 weeks and then I will be going every week.
Early last week, I had my first contractions. Fairly certain they were the Braxton Hicks fake ones, but they sure freaked me out! I started having them early in the morning at work and they continued on and off for a couple of hours. I went home at lunch and laid down (just like we were taught in our childbirth class) for an hour and they went away and never came back! Weird! They weren’t painful, but were definitely noticeable and a little uncomfortable. The dr. said that it is normal to start having these anytime after 32 weeks, so that made me feel a little better!
We graduate from our childbirth classes this week! We have been going the past 5 weeks, one night a week. I was a little skeptical to take them to begin with….just because sometimes the more information I have….the more I worry and anticipate. But the classes have been wonderful and I feel much more informed and actually a little less anxious! Next week we are taking a CPR class!
I’m SO ready for this weekend. Seems like we haven’t had a long weekend or a break since Christmas. I am taking off work this Friday and Sam and I are heading to MH on Thursday evening and staying until Monday. I have a baby shower at my church on Saturday and both my Grandmas are coming in town for it! I am very excited to see them and also to spend some time with little Hayden! Mom says that he is into everything right now; that he is curious about everything.
Sam and I are having maternity pictures taken on Saturday morning….well I guess I am the one having the maternity pictures taken…..but we are also going to have some couple shots done….we haven’t had any ‘real’ pics since we were married….almost 4 years ago. I’m looking forward to that!
Guess that’s about it going on with us for now! I’ll try to post some pictures today or tomorrow!!!!
Have a great week!

Almost 32 weeks and counting………
Can’t believe how the past month has flown by! Sorry for the silence, but it has been one busy, crazy, hectic month! I’ve been on the go – and when I’ve actually had time to sit and relax I just haven’t felt like posting on the blog for some reason! Since things are beginning to slow down a little for me….I’m going to try to be better!!! I know everyone is tired of reading my ‘eggs’ post over and over!
Here’s just a little of what I’ve been up to in the past month:
-Katie’s birthday dinners – Theo’s and US Pizza
-Scrapbooking retreat at the Scrappin Pad in Tahlequah, Oklahoma – went with Amy and Kelley, friends from work
-Garage Sale at Katie’s house – our annual one!
-Sarah Dewey’s baby shower at my house
-My first baby shower hosted by Katie and Lyndsy – Samantha came in from LR for the shower and my Aunt Peggy and cousins Tracy and Kelley came in from St. Louis
I will post some pictures of all these events when I have a chance this weekend.
Then I’ve had work on top of all that fun!!! We just wrapped up and filed our 2nd Quarter 10-Q….my last quarter-end before baby arrives!
Drew’s nursery is ALMOST done! We now have all the furniture; all we have left to do are little things – hang his letters on the wall, paint a trash can, decorate a night light…..all little things that aren’t a big deal at all. I will try to take some pics of his finished nursery and post soon!
We got a TON of awesome stuff at my baby shower last weekend. It was overwhelming, but wonderful! I have an amazing group of friends here in Fayetteville and I know my little Drew is going to love and appreciate them as much as I do! We got a great mix of things – some REALLY cute clothes, a few big items (pack n’ play, exersaucer, bouncy seat, activity mat), lots of essentials (bottles, diapers, wipes, stuff for the car, blankets, etc.), and some fun items (books, toys, etc.). I have just finally gotten everything put up and situated in his room!
I have another baby shower in Mtn. Home on Memorial Day weekend and then a shower that work is throwing on May 30th. Little Drew is going to be spoiled before he ever even gets here!
I have been feeling okay – starting to feel all the aches and pains of the end of pregnancy. I’m trying not to complain too much – but some days I just can’t help it! My belly is getting HUGE and my feet are swelling and HURT really bad. We go back to the doctor for my 32-week appointment next week. I’m praying that my blood pressure is low….its been a little high the past 2 times I’ve went to the doctor (they think its mostly stress induced from work and too much going on in my personal life). These next 8 weeks I’ve got to learn to slow down and quit running and scheduling my life so full! I really want to enjoy the last weeks with Drew in my belly b/c I know I will miss them once they are gone! We really are getting so excited for him to be here!
Sam just finished his school for the semester. I think this has been the hardest semester so far. He has spent so much of his time the past several months on campus, I feel like I really haven’t got to spend much time with him. His engineering classes are so hard – don’t think I could have ever made it through school in engineering. He is so dedicated and I’m really proud of him for working so hard to get through it! Now, he’s on break until he starts summer school May 19th. He’s taking 2 classes this summer – Junior English (he’s been putting off) and some AR History Class (an upper level humanities class that he needs). I’ve banned all engineering classes for the summer – don’t need the added stress of those with a new baby!!! We are counting down the semesters until he is finished – probably 3 semesters left with graduation in December 2009.
Anyhoo….I apologize for the LONG post….just thought I would catch everyone up with what’s been going on! I will post some pictures this weekend!!!
